There was no checkpoint. What we did see that the transit drivers were not taking passengers without a blue i.d. or without working permits. The border patrol are stopping taxis and transits and if they find a passenger without the proper i.d. they are escorting the taxi driver and the passenger to the police station and taking away the necessary documents for the car to be on the road. Hence the taxi driver cannot work for 30 days. It has become the responsibility for the driver to ask for the correct i.d. The two places we saw checkpoints were: Garden at Getsemane and A-Tur.
