Wadi Nar (Container), Al-Ezariya, Abu Dis Thur. AM, 28.7.05Observers: Yael L-I., Chana A., Michaela R. (reporting)A routine shift, characteristic of the occupation. No special events. The old road to Wadi Nar is still blocked. A new way has been paved from the CP itself and it joins the old road.Wadi Nar (Container) 06:45Traffic flows freely, usually without checking. We drove on the settlers’ road to Kedar. The gate at the old road is still barred. We came back via the road going down from the CP in the northeastern direction. We discovered that the road is paved until the lower end and there is no barrier. (Last week it was still a dirt road blocked by a dirt mound). The road is steep and very curvy, but well paved.Al-Ezariya 07:20One detained taxi. Inspection of the papers of one of its passengers takes time. 45 minutes later (according to the driver) they despaired and drove away. Two minutes later the man was released. During the whole time we were there, the taxis were allowed to advance at a very slow pace even though traffic was scarce. The “No longer Pishpash”Few people. 3 bored security forces men check passersby at random. At the lower gate by the gas stationThe barbed wire has been removed. 3 soldiers, almost no Palestinians
