Bethlehem a. Surrounding, Friday 28.4.06,p.m.Observers: Ephrat B., Magdalena H. (reporting)Inside the “Terminal” CP Bethlehem completly empty and an utopic athmosphere. Complete curfew. One Palestian passed with an invitation to Kupat Holim. Two soldiers sitting in their boxes, not doing anything. Outside the terminal are few transits waiting for guests. One palestinian, who lives in one of the houses next to the wall, on the israeli side, told us the long story of getting all the permits necessary for just living there; he needed the intervention of the Red Cross to manage it. South of the tunnels the building area is growing bigger and bigger.DCO Ezyon closed, Friday.Ezyon CP south of the traffic circle with soldiers, no detainees.Al Arub: both entrances are open, military is standing opposite on the road.Beit Omar: as usual. We had coffee with the grocery/vegetable family and listened to stories.Al Khadr: jeep on top of the hill (maybe breakfast), the market is half open. We heard a lot of complaines of not getting the right magnetic card, investigations and stories about life. Har Gilo/Beit Jallah: no soldiers around or at the CPEin Yeal CP, soldier girls at the CP, not checking, looked very bored.
