The checkpoint commander stands at the entrance line to Tulkarm and tells every entering car that they will be unable to get out. No one turns back. They all nod and continue on their way (up to the next checkpoint which is located in an area we can’t get to, at the turn to the village Bal’ah).The line for getting out actually makes no progress. Very few cars are allowed to exit here. Residents of Shofa can’t leave, either.
