There was one jeep at the blockade and two others were parked on the other side of the round-about at the exit to the settlement Efrata. The soliders in the jeep at the blockade checked ID’s of people traveling by bus or taxi on their way to Bethlehem. All the passengers in one of the buses, about 30 between the ages of 18 and 20 returning from work at Beitar Elit were required to exit the bus. They were told to give their papers to the soldiers in the two jeeps on the other side of the round-about. About 20 papers were returned within 30 minutes. The owners of the remaining 10 documents had to wait another 30 minutes for the papers to be returned with a summonsthat to meet with some captain or other the following week at Etzion. Two were given a body check after which they were released.
