Jerusalem
Bethlehem and surroundings, Monday, 3.4.2006, AfternoonObservers: Shlomit S. Yael S. (reporting) No miracles occured.Al-Hader: No police jeeps and we did not stop. On the way we saw quite a lot of army vehicles going towards Jerusalem. Ezyon DCO: Four people were waiting 3 hours for the GSS. One with medical problems was invited the fourth time; the second came the first time and the other two did not say anything. The DCO might start working next Sunday. Beit Omar and road 60: The “pillboxes” were manned, but there were no detainees. Rachel Pass: There was a woman who had issued a certificate for family reunion but did not get it yet and was not allowed to pass. Shlomit called Roni, he sent a soldier to check the matter and he found that it was correct but without the paper there was a problem. Shlomit convinced Roni that the baby had to be nursed and the family (3 kids and a husband) should be allowed to go through. They were allowed to leave 15 minutes after we got there – which proved that “if there is a will there is a way”. Besides these there were almost no people at the pass and no detainees at the old PC.
