Jubara, Ar-ras, Anabta
Jubara, Ar-ras, Anabta, Tuesday 25.07.2006 PM Observers: Yael S., Amit Y. (reporting) 14:35, Ar-ras: No soldiers stationed at the children’s gate. We move on directly to the Ar-ras roadblock. There are 8 cars waiting in line east of the roadblock. The roadblock commander tells us that because of Bidul there are severe restrictions on people who live in the northern parts of the territories; from the Jenin and Tul Karem areas, only women and humanitarian cases are allowed to pass at this roadblock today. 15:20, Anabta: Towards Tul Karem only 4 cars waiting before the roadblock; they are quickly waved through with little-to-no check up. But on the way from Tul Karem the situation is very different. The line seems very long, its end extending beyond our view; a driver coming through tells us that he started queuing at the end of the line at 1:00—it took him almost two and a half hours to get through! Due to Bidul, men between ages of 16 and 30 who live north of Anabta are not allowed to pass towards the south.
