Jubara, Tulkarm 14.1.2004 Watchers: Shuli H., Dina G. (reporter) 13:30. We thought of cancelling the shift because of the rain, but as the weather cleared around noon we went only the two of us. Near the children’s gate a military car, no civilians. We noticed an additional road being prepared along the fence on the Jubara side – it should be followed up. We went down to checkpoint 407. Traffic on both sides, jammed queues. We spoke to the officer in charge, and he was cooperative. we also called the DCO, and they responded immediately (their representative in the area was indifferent), and indeed the queues started moving, the pressure eased. We went on to Tulkarm. A long line of trucks, the gate closed, no one to turn to, and unlike Jubara, we left without being able to help.
