Shaked, Aanin, Rihan, Monday, June 12, 2006, AM Observers: Dvora, Nava (reporting ) Shaked, 07:50At the CP there are dozens of Border Police soldiers and many jeeps, a big tractor and an ambulance. The wrecking of a house in an area close by the CP and to the south of it has just been completed. Only one local person is waiting at the CP for “his” Jewish employer, and he is the one who explainsto us what is happening, because the soldiers simply do not answer us. Aanin, 08:15About 25 workers are sitting and waiting “on the Israeli side” of the CP. They have been working in their vineyards since Thursday. At 08:30 the soldiers we saw before at the Shaked CP arrive in order to open the gate for them and they return to their homes. Two old men on donkeys go out in the opposite direction to their olive groves.Rihan, 09:00 In the parking lot there are 6 vehicles loaded with vegetables from the West Bank, waiting to be inspected in order to go through to the seam zone. Suddenly, without any notice or explanation, the CP is closed for 45 minutes. When the soldiers come back and open it, they are not willing to explain the delay or to talk about it at all, as if all the people who were waiting there are no more than goats who are there by chance. At 10:00 we left the CP. Five of the commercial vehicles were still waiting for inspection (very slow).
