The roadblocks are almost clear.  It is Mimouna and the territories are still closed.

 

Sha'ar Shomron

6:35 a.m. 

There is a police car.

6:50 a.m. 

At Marda the gate is open; at Zeita it is closed.

 

Za'atra

7:00 a.m. 

There are no queues of vehicles from any direction.  The inspections are random and few.  While we were there a taxi was detained but released after 2 minutes.

At the entrance to Beita there is a Military Police jeep but no cars were detained.

 

Huwwara

7:20 a.m. 

There are about 10 people in the queue.  2 lanes are open and the crossing takes a few minutes.  There are a few small stalls in the car park.

There are 7 - 8 cars in the queue.  2 lanes are open.


Beit Furik

7:50

All cars to Nablus are checked. ID

 

Awarta

8:50 a.m. 

There are no cars and there is almost no inspection.  When we talk to the soldiers the roadblock stops and immediately there is a build up of 6 - 7 cars.  When we left cars were crossing with no inspection.
