Huwwara Checkpoint 17:10

Following a monitoring vigil at Eyal Checkpoint. We arrived at Huwwara later than usual, and monitored some vehicle checked and unchecked crossings. Dog and trainer involved.
Shooting posts at entrance to compound manned.

As usual lately, random checks, not too frequent. Again as usual, our arrival immediately arouses concerted attention of the sentry who takes the trouble to cross the road and come ask who we are. He's been here for 3 months but says he's never seen or heard of us. Still, he let us be and went back to his post.

 Beit Furik 17:40

We observed the checkpoint from the junction, where the taxi park used to be.

Soldiers including the commander arrived very soon to explain to us how we create a disturbance and are at jeopardy, proceeding to accuse us as usual of lying and distorting the truth and libeling them. They also hinted that very soon all hell's about to break loose, and there are hot alerts on weapons smuggling (into Nablus??). Finally, the ultimate weapon: 'shouldn't you worry first about your own underdogs?'

Eventually they gave up trying to chase us with words, and held up cars, creating a waiting line at the entrance into Nablus (over 10 cars). Exiting drivers confirmed to us that we were cause of the delay, that's what the soldiers told them.

We called the army hotline to complain.
