.40 About 200 meters after the Shomrorn crossing a soldier on a hill keeps watching.

.15 The road to Yitzhar is blocked to Palestinians.

The Huwwara  checkpoint.  A new sign points to Yitamar and Elon Moreh.  The checkpoint itself is empty and open.  Along the road are signs calling for national separation “A Jew for Jews.”

.30 The checkpoint of Jit. A rolling checkpoint at the exit in the direction of Sara stands a Hummer with 4 soldiers next to it. And a soldier helping  them watches from the hill.

.00 The checkpoint of Habla. We greeted one of the soldiers but he did not reply. His hands folded in front of him and with a lordly air he marches the length of the checkpoint. Two other soldiers march with him. The Palestinians are crowded next to the entrance in the corner.  The gate at the centre was not closed but no one tried to go through it. Three people were allowed in at intervals while the others waited.
