Afternoon
14:55 - A'aneen checkpoint
Soldiers haven't arrived yet. About 15 people and a donkey are already waiting to return to A'aneen.
15:05 The soldiers arrive, slightly late. They get organized and open the gates.
An efficient Military Police female soldier, who already knows people by their names, calls them and marks her notes.
One tractor drives to the Seam Line zone, all the rest - by tractor and on foot, men, women and a few children - cross over to A'aneen just on the other side of the fence.
An old man complains that his sons do not receive permits, another complains that his permit has not been extended. We gave them the telephone number of the center for protection of the individual.
One person tells us proudly that he and his family had finished picking their 50-dunam lot of olives, located next to the checkpoint, and that they own another grove of 80 dunam. He hopes that the olive picking season would last long enough.
Everybody asks that the gates would open daily, year round.
15:40 - Shaked-Tura checkpoint
A women and three sweet children wait for a car from Um Riehan. Only a few cross at this time. The car from Um Reihan doesn't come and we give the women and her children a lift .
16:25 Reihan-Barta'a checkpoint,
on the side of the Seam Line zone,a rare scene; a young fellow plays with his infant sister on the slide near the car park.
There is a line at the entrance to the terminal, only one window is open. With in a few moments a second window opens and the line is gone. Many worker come down the sleeve, some are running.
When two window are opened passage is swift.
16:55 Two detainees wait on the bench in the terminal. Groups of workers continue to come.
We leave the checkpoint.
