Qalandiya, Thu 8.12.11, Morning

We arrived at Qalandiya at 6 A M. The line for the pedestrian crossing, as usual, was very long.  The line started to move quickly when the day team arrived and when we left at approximately 7am, there was no longer a line.   There is a separate passage now for the school-children to cross over without going through the machsom. We left via the vehicle crossing for the first time in a year.  We noticed a big improvement here as there are now 3 lanes for cars and one for buses and both were more organized. Our general impression was that the army is working hard to improve the situation on the ground.
