Bethlehem (300), Fri 13.1.12, Morning

Bethlehem- Checkpoint 300:  only two lanes are open.  Usually it’s pretty clear.  People are trying to cover up and defend themselves from the gusting wind. 

Again, the children are the main cause of the delay.  A 45 year-old woman is accompanying her sister and her sister’s two children, but the latter don’t have a permit.  The woman goes through and tries to coax the guard into letting them through (they are only small children and they only want to take a trip etc).  She goes on and on, in Arabic, but nothing helps, of course.
