Morning

Tura-Shaked 0745 – 0805

We were late this morning . Most of the people have already gone through. No one waits by the turnstile.

People go out one by one in the direction of the Seam Line zone. They report of no pressure at all inside the terminal. Inspection is slow, more than 5 minutes per person, delays.

We spoke to a person who was waiting for his friends, who were still inside the terminal. Life is hard and burdensome but there is work.

There are tobacco plants in the fields and workers (mostly women) cultivate them.

8:15 -80:50 Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint

As usual it is very busy and noisy here. Two windows are open and those coming out from the West Bank report that all streams along smoothly. There are more women and families who cross over this morning to the West Bank.

At the car park we met Marie and her father Amjad, on their for treatment at Um-el-Fahem.
