Afternoon

Road No. 5 to Za'tara (Tapuah), Huwwara, Road 55 and the Habla CP, Monday 2.11.15 Noon

The drive on roads 5 and 55 was calm and without event. The Habla checkpoint too conducts itself peacefully .

We decided to drive through Huwwara, because riots were reported there a few days ago, and at Tapuah there was a stabbing activity.

All the way the roads were quiet. At Tapuah a military presence was noticeable, but the passage was quiet albeit slowed down because of the soldiers' presence in the checking posts. When we were there no checks were performed, only the cars slowed down when passing. The village of Huwwara is completely calm, the shops are open and life goes on as usual. The Huwwara CP isn't manned and the passage is free.

The Yitzhar intersection was not manned and there were no soldiers at all at the checking posts except for the entrances to Ariel, Barkan and Kedumim. At the Sara intersection (road 55 with road 60) above the junction there is a flattening of the ground activity by a tractor, next to which there is a military vehicle.

We arrived at the Habla CP at 13.30. The CP is open and the passage is conducted peacefully. One man with a cart and a donkey who arrived from the direction of Israel, and the cart was loaded with "alte-zachen" was asked to return and wasn't allowed to pass on to Habla. The children's bus arrived at 13.10 and managed to drive to Arab Ramadin and to return to Habla before they closed the CP at 14.10.
