Jubara 13.55

At the childrens' gate at the east side of Jubara is a bus on its way to Tulkarm and 3 private cars. They go through quickly after identifying themselves to the soldiers.

A-Ras.

At the checkpoint we stopped at the side of the road and one of the soldiers came up and asked us to move away. We went forward so as not to stand on the yellow line and so as not to get a ticket if the police should arrive. Few cars pass and without delay. The soldiers are reservists and one of them explains to us that they are adults and know how to behave.

Before we leave the checkpoint we use the toilets and the soldiers reprimand Elisheva for not have asked permission and when we express our surprise he says "This is my territory."

Anabta. 14.40

Taxis stand on both sides with no problems. Cars entering Tulkarm are not checked. At the exit drivers show their IDs and go on their way.  The soldier at the checkpoint greets us and is surprised.  "The women of Machsomwatch were already here this morning and when we say that there are two shifts he says to us "Welcome."
