Ar-Ram, Qalandiya 20.12.04 p.m.Observers: Chava B, Noa E (reporting)2:45 - 5:10At the Ar-Ram checkpoint, it was totally quiet. On our way to Qalandiya, we got to the intersection and asked the various peddlers about their situation and they reported no problems with the soldiers. At the checkpoint itself, there was little pedestrian traffic. The humanitarian lane was open most of the time for women, children and the aged. There were 8 soldiers at the checkpoint. Vehicular traffic moved swiftly in both directions. There were a number of people stopped for i.d. checks. That took about a half hour. Some of them were taken for investigation within the checkpoint.
