Abu Dis, Container Monday December 27, 2004, morningWatchers: Rachel K., Diana H. (reporting)7:15 - the Cliff hotel - the hotel is deserted. Windows are broken, apparently stones. The settlers' house was enlarged.7:25 - Pishpash - all closed and empty. A BP jeep in what used to be the parking lot of the taxis, a policeman tells us we are not allowed to stop there. We drive away.7:40 - We try to find out where the new passing is. We ask around but it takes us over 10 min. to realize and understand. So we start climbing through the muddy path. When we get up, where the wall ends, we meet several people waiting, probably for a transit, but there are no transits in sight. We go back through the mud, but for us is only this one time.At the Kedar checkpoint there's a line of over 20 cars, but they do move, slowly.8:10 - The road to the Container is closed to cars. We walk the way to the checpoint - 15-20 minutes. 10 detainees in the shed are released in 5 minutes.9:15 - Kedar DCO - we are not allowed in . A jeep passes and the officer tells us he'll instruct the soldier to let us in. He doesn't. 4 Palestinians arrive and are denyed entrance as well. We call the DCO at Ezion (who are in charge of this) with no success. We approach the tower and ask why the Palestinians are not let in and made to sit on the muddy earth when inside it has been arranged with sits and benches. They are let in, we are not. We leave.
