Just one who was released shortly after we arrived. Everyone was permitted through. Many people - lots of families with young children. The checking was fast and not too thorough. After a short while one of the soldiers started shouting to people not to cross the carousels . Immediately the tension rises, but again people are allowed to go by . The very heavy rain did not seem to bother this awful routine.One Israeli Arab was caught trying to get back to Israel. When we left he was still waiting for the blue police to come by. He couldn’t explain how he got in. He tried to manipulate us as well . I understand that he was trying to use any means to get through but this, we felt, was not our place to intervene.
