Three windows are open.

Surprisingly, many Palestinians arrive; there are a lot of small children. Towards the end of the shift, at an hour when usually only singles trickle in, today whole groups arrived. Even the security guard was surprised and said so.

I witnessed only one refusal: a man of about 45 was surprised to find that he is prevented. “It’s impossible” he said in Hebrew, “I pass here every Friday”.

He tried his luck in every one of the three windows and was rejected in all, as usual, with no one capable to explain why…
