Afternoon
Two days after Resolution 2334 was passed by the UN Security Council I looked for signs of celebration at Qalandiya and found none. I thought I’d find gloating, but I didn’t.
Nothing at all.
I supposed that perhaps because of the cold and rain people would be hurrying indoors, home, but so many do not enjoy the privilege of hiding from bad weather.
The vendors whose stands have some cover were lighting little fires, whereas most of them, unsheltered, continued to work exposed to the wind and rain.
About the lack of interest in the Security Council resolution, Salah said: “We slave for our livelihood morning-to-night, we have no time for this”.
