Sansana (Meitar Crossing), South Hebron Hills, Susiya
On the eve of the holiday there were fewer people at the checkpoint, and there were no illegal workers. Even in the morning there were those who simply went back. On the other hand there was much traffic from Israel towards Dahariya for last-minute shopping.
Road 60 was very busy, many private vehicles and for the most part we did not see military or police presence. Even on road 317 there was more traffic than usual. We went to Susiya to visit our friend 'A. Lately he has had much need for dental treatment as a result of great pain and of course it was very expensive. He has received help from family and neighbors and also from activists and also (private) donations from one of our friends which we gave him. Everyone in the village is very busy preparing for the holiday. But Nasser was addressing a group of visitors from England, America and Canada. On our way back we saw that the Meitar checkpoint was very busy with those returning home. It seems that the sheep and their fate were waiting for them at home.
