Morning

04:55 Reihan-Barta'a CP
The vehicle CP opens for us. Dozens of men are crowded together in front of the locked pedestrian gate. They are arguing about places in the queue. Women are waiting in the taxis that brought them to the CP.
05:05 - The gate opens and the security guard in the hut greets the people with: "Good morning, let the stream flow."  She greets, scolds, and yells alternately in Hebrew and in Arabic.
Six pickup trucks are already waiting for the inspection of their goods -- that will begin at 06:00. Workers and seamstresses continue to arrive.
05:15 - The first 2 people come out. By our count, 29 men and 8 women came out by 05:30.
05:40 - Those who arrive enter immediately. Sometimes there is a queue inside the sleeveinfo-icon at the entrance to the terminal. The security person tries to speak courteously in Arabic.
05:55 - People who are waiting for a ride in the parking lot, on the side of the seamline zone, say that the inspection machine is out of order and many people are put into the rooms for an additional inspection.

06:10 A'anin CP
The gatesinfo-icon are open. The first to go through is on his donkey. The man tells us that the soldiers record the donkeys as well, and a person who goes through with a donkey must come back with it. The man was angry because there is no permit for his son, and "what good is it that you come". Another man, who went through with a tractor, thanked us for coming  -- for the peace that we all need.
06:40 - The tempo of the passage is very slow. Until now three donkeys, two tractors, six adults and a child have gone through.
The procedures are not clear for the passage of children aged 12 (included in the partents' permits) to 16 (who need to have their own ID and permit), who come with their parents. Two children, aged 13 and 14, were not allowed to go through until a question to the DCO helped them and the soldiers were instructed to let them through. A boy aged 16, whose birthday was four days ago and has still not received his ID card, was not allowed to go through.
07:40 - We left before the passage ended. We were told that another 30 people were waiting.

07:50 Shaked-Tura CP

Very little traffic at this time. "The CP is good today," says one of the people going through.

08:05 Reihan-Barta'a CP

A few people arrive and enter the terminal immediately. Only two pickup trucks are waiting for inspection.
08:35 - In the upper parking lot, a man tells us that the passage through the terminal takes about 20 minutes.

09:20 Jalameh CP

We drove to pick up a sick child and his father from the Jalameh CP, and to take them to Rambam. We did not stay at the CP - the child did not look good.
The parking lot is full of cars with Israeli licence plates and families of Arab citizens of Israel going through to visit their relatives on the West Bank.
