Afternoon

15:05 – Anin Checkpoint
The gate was open when we arrived. We were surprised there were no people, except for a shepherd with seven goats. They passed through. The soldiers denied entrance to man who had a permit to pass through Barta’a Checkpoint. Even though he lives in the village next to Anin, he has been forced to travel to Barta’a.

15:30 – Tura-Shaked Checkpoint
Repairs and widening of the road to the settlement of Shaked continue at a quick pace. There is traffic - people and cars from the West Bank to the Seamline Zone.

15:35 – Barta’a-Reihan Checkpoint, Seamline Zone Side
Buses and vehicles unload dozens of workers on their way home from a day’s work. One worker told us that he received a blow to his head but the supervisor prevented him from receiving medical care; the worker had to continue to work.
We went down the sleeveinfo-icon (the enclosed passage to the terminal or parking lots) to the lower parking lot, to deliver a package that Leah brought. When we wanted to return via the road, we were blocked by an aggressive guard who would not let us continue. We tried to return via the sleeve and there we were blocked by another guard, who ket us pass through to the road.
