An unusual morning

All five checking stations were open when we arrived at 5:30 and there were no lines because people passed freely through the turnstile at the end of one of the three cages. The situation remained thus throughout the shift. No one had an explanation for why so few people came to the checkpoint this morning. A Civil Administration officer arrived at 6:10 but stayed only a few minutes because it was not necessary to operate the Humanitarian Gate. At 6:40, when we saw that there was no change in the situation, we passed through the security check in a few minutes and left.
