Habla CP - the soldiers were on time but opened late
Opening hours: apparently 7:00-7:30
Freezing weather, 5 C. The soldiers arrived on time, but opened the checkpoint late (7:15 - they sat in their heated vehicles). Of course, people and vehicles were not able to go through, even though they came exactly at the time of closing the gates, which could have been left open a bit to let them through.
On the way to the checkpoint, we saw many groups of pedestrians on their way to work. Obviously, they went through openings in the fence. A heavy military vehicle stood in front of the nurseries, not clear what was its purpose.
At 7:00, the soldiers arrived and continued to sit in their heated vehicles while a huge amount of people waited to go through the exit gate from Habla. People who wanted to get to work or other business.
At 7:15, they got out of their cars and opened the gates. The passage through went quickly.
At 7:27, they closed the gates and refused, while they were closing the gate, to allow cars to go in and out: one to leave Habla and the second to enter the village, as well as a group of pedestrians who arrived exactly at the time the soldiers were closing the gates. There was a negotiation of requests and begging with shouts. The soldiers - female soldiers - won the battle.
And now the pedestrians will certainly pass through holes in the fence. They don't really have a way to return and go through a different gate and get to the nurseries where they work. The cars will need to make a detour of about 10 kilometers in order to get to Checkpoint 109 and then to the nurseries.
