Except for them, no soldiers in sight – the Israeli army closes off areas with barriers or ‘gates’ in order to prevent friction between soldiers and Palestinian civilians.
This is what it looks like, open.
And this – closed.
Bani Na’im and Yatta are encircled. Coming from all directions – one can only travel the internal roads and we could not enter and see whether barriers also block movement between the villages themselves.
Deir Razah, Abdeh, Karmeh, Samo’a, Dahariya, Beit ‘Anoun – all closed.
Entrance to Hebron from Road 35 – open.
Sa’ir – open.
Tarkumiya – open.
