Morning

Habla CP 1393

Opening hours 06:00-07:30

A very calm day. The routine of occupation. As one of the persons passing here says – if only all of us would make peace and there wouldn’t be any checkpoints – what a wonderful life we would all have.

05:50 We arrived too early. It is still dark, but the gate is brightly lit up. On our side there is no one.

05:56 The soldiers arrived, organization. Beyond the Habla gate one can see a great unclear mass of people standing quietly.

06:05 The first group of five organizes itself and all the people seem to wake up. Now one can hear lively conversations.

06:08 The crossing begins. The pace of the passage is slow.

06:30 Everybody has crossed over, nobody has remained. A few moments later some other people arrive in a rather thin flow until the gatesinfo-icon are closed.

07:00  A minibus intended for the transportation of students to the school at Habla on which there are teachers for the school on the eve of Ramadan, leaves. From the direction of Habla the traffic begins to be dense. Cars, pedestrians.

07:15 Another minibus for pupil transportation on which there are teachers, leaves.

07:20 The first minibus transporting students to the school in Habla enters.

07:30 The gates are being closed.

All in all about 200 pedestrians from Habla crossed over, some carts with horses and donkeys, a tractor, tenders and private cars.
