It's cold! Very few people pass. Those who arrive coat-less and with no umbrella are surprised by the gusts of wind and are taken aback by the relentless rain, they linger for some moments inside the checkpoint but eventually go out to the cold. And no - the checkpoint is not a cozy warm place...

Most of the time only one window is open, every now and then they open a second one but it's unnecessary. No lines form in front of the window. Only one woman who arrived with her daughter and no permit for her was rejected and prevented from passing. 

Two large groups entered Bethlehem.
