Morning

It's a particularly hot day at the Tarkamiya crossing, which is full of vehicles and the dirt is everywhere.

I met Adam at the checkpoint when he came back from his job renovating offices and apartments in Tel Aviv. He is an expert at renovations and these days he works on Ibn Gvirol Street. He has a work permit and likes our Saturday night demonstrations. He claims that he would have been happy to go to demonstrations against the Palestinian Authority, but he is very afraid: "That's how it is with us, we are afraid."

Muhammad and his brothers at the grocery store report that business is as usual and Ben Gvir is running Israel.

In the Telem settlement, on Route 35, a new neighbourhood is being built - there is a sign at the entrance.

Common sentences we heard today from Palestinian locals:

Ben Gvir is finishing you off.

The situation is not good.

We are concerned.

On the way back from Hebron, there is very little traffic, few people and "lives" on the roads south of Mount Hebron. Maybe because of the intense heat, or/and Tisha B'av.
