Morning

Only two customers today. One, a man who is desperate. So many of are and no one who does not know the Palestinian reality can even start understanding what is when you have seven children and someone has done the dirty on you and, though you can prove it, the army deeps to the old Hebrew adage...prove you don't ...or do...have a sister. A man was prevented "information”....if the word tells you nothing, it tells us nothing too. St. Yves helped him to have this removed but when he went to renew his magnetic card he found that he was again prevented and would not be able to have this removed for the next year. It turns out that he sold coffee at 300, the Bethlehem checkpoint. Someone asked him to give a letter about hospitalization to another man. This man went to the DCO and was told that the letter was forged. And so, our client became a suspect as an accomplice to forgers. He went to the police and actually identified the man who had given him the letter but to no avail. We advised him to contact the various addresses we had and to confer with one of their lawyers about taking the case to court. He was so grateful for the help which we had not given him that it was heartbreaking.

Another man married to an Israeli woman who has complained about him to the police, saying that he had beaten her. He has managed to see his daughter and his wife is once again pregnant but will not speak to him. He is in contact with her father. She had withdrawn the complaint and he was waiting for the phantom policeman to get up in the morning and make his weary way to the DCO so that our man could take the necessary information from him.

When no people come, is that a good sign or a bad sign. Nothing is good in the occupied areas.

Oh yes, the radio in the waiting room was bearable, the men's toilet was filthy and stinking, the women's toilet remains locked and solitary, there is no running water and who cares a damn.
