Morning

At the entrance to Kiryat Arba a police vehicle delays two Palestinian boys who rode their bicycles on road 60. We drove  to Hebron to pick up the Jerusalemites and when we returned  them we did not see them. The Palestinians looked to be very young but it did not seem that they had been treated violently.

We saw Manal, the B'Tselem coordinator in Hebron, and she told us that yesterday a delegation from Britain visited Hebron. The reception was at the main entrance to Hebron (Halhul Bridge) and then they went to H2. Their escorts were young Palestinians led by Issa.

Ofer Ohana arrived and caused a violent riot.

The police arrived and did nothing.

This is a daily act and no longer news ...

Another story is of Tamimi who told us that ten days ago settlers from Givat Gal used violence against him and showed us the scratch on his bald spot.

And that too is no longer new.

We also have to say that we were not allowed to walk from the checkpoint near Beit Hameriva (contention) to the road. The soldiers who manned the checkpoints are Givati, a yeshiva youth battalion.

All in all, it was quiet.

There were no special events to report. At the entrance to Kiryat Arba from the industrial zone, the guards are already questioning a bit too much as who we are and why we come there.

It was pleasant to be with the Jerusalemites but Hebron as always is exhausting.

In the pictures below:

The beginning of the Zion route in the neighborhood of Kefisha, a new checkpoint for the neighborhood. There had already been a checkpoint which has not  been removed.  And see how a young cripple sits in a wheelchair. She has to wait there.

In the area of Abed’s shop we see a car with the sign: This new tourist venture at Gush Etzion junction is funded by Women in green

the gas station that is being built at the Dura-Al Fawwar junction. It caught our eye that there is no sign in Arabic.

The girl who was injured by stones thrown by settlers at her home in Tel Rumeida.

The police did not find out who did it.

The incident happened on Saturday night.
