Tapuach/Zaatara Junction Checkpoint 15:20

The fresh posters decorating the concrete slabs at the state’s army compound:

Giving a hand (pun on Nablus) to settlement, reviving presence at Joseph’s Tomb (site inside Nablus).” Such posters are also attached to the official green road signs on the apartheid road leading to Itamar Settlement, the Palestinian villages of Beit Furik and Beit Dajan, and Alon More Settlement.

 Beit Furik Checkpoint 15:45

No soldiers seen.

 Huwwara Checkpoint 15:40

Sniffer dog and trainer at their job inspecting vehicles coming out of Nablus, one of every few cars. A soldier from the incoming traffic inspection post approaches Judit and demands to see her ID. He does and leaves.

The checkpoint commander comes to say hello. (Nachshon Battalion now on duty),

hearing we’re Machsomwatch, a broad a smile spreads over his face. We don’t really

know why, he gives no hints, and leaves.
