Qalandya North (SH happened to go through, not on a shift, this is her report): Line of about 200 south bound people. 2 lines – one for blue IDs and one for foreign passports. It was very hot and there was very little shade. The lines were moving very slowly. One soldier was really mean. He was shouting at people to move back, or he wouldn’t let anybody pass. At some point he noticed a can next to the line and started shouting that whoever threw it there should come forward. Nobody did, and he stopped the passage. Finally some old man went and picked it up and the line was moving again. It is really humiliating waiting in line, and anxiety arousing. It took about 40 minutes to get through.
