Pedestrian movement was smooth in both directions thanks to the presenceof friendly and well meaning volunteers. While we were there, no one wasturned back in the north. Trucks coming south were checked slowly, whichcreated a long waiting line. Tora Bora was active, but the patrols came backwithout detainees. We heard that since Friday there were no shootingincidents in Kalandia camp. But in Al Amery camp near Ramallah a house was destoyed the night before and 15 people have been arrested.We observed only a few Palestinian taxis on the road between A Ram andKalandia and heard that many of them are standing confiscated in thecourtyard of the former Mashbir warehouse, which has been turned into aborder police headquarters.
