‘Anabta, Ar-Ras, Jubara (Kafriat), Qalqiliya, Sun 22.6.08, Afternoon
13:00 Habla North, Gate 1393
Three young boys on bikes are trying to get through, they told the
soldiers that they exited in the morning from this gate, but the
soldiers said they didn't and had to reenter Habla from where they
exited and what is written on their papers. The boys tried, but in
the end they took their bikes and left. Omar from the nursery, is
just crossing, he said that the soldiers were fair, and that the
passing has been going smoothly.
13:45 Qalqiliya
No vehicles going in or out of Qaliqiliya when we arrive, as we are
there, there is a steady flow of vehicles on both sides, little or
none checking of ID's, vehicles, or authorizations (only of the
Israeli vehicles).
The soldiers are reservists, and as we approach they ask if they can
help us and if we could stay away from the checkpoint, we tell them
that we always stand here and that was the end of the conversation.
16:00 Anabta
As we approach the checkpoint there are a few vehicles going towards
Tulkarm, but flowing. We count 22 vehicles coming from the opposite
direction, there is not much checking or holding up the vehicles but
there is always a constant queue of vehicles. Here too the soldiers
are reservists, and ask how we are and where we are from.
16:50 Jubara
Here there are reservists also, they don't quite understand what we
want when we request that they open the gate for us to go up to A-
Ras. But within a couple of minutes they open it. At Gate 753, also
Reservists, who don't know who we are and where we want to go. One
of the soldiers is taking photographs. They ask to see our
authorization to go to A Ras. They finally let us pass. When we
arrive at Ar Ras the soldiers also don't know what we are doing
there, one of the soldiers brings us a plastic chair.

'Anabta CP The checkpoint is located south of the village of 'Anabta, at the intersection of Road 60 (leading to Nablus at the entrance to Area A), with Road (57, 557, 5576) facing west towards the Einav settlement and the checkpoint at the exit from the West Bank - Figs checkpoint. Until 2010 we used to watch the intersection and report the long columns created due to a slow inspection of the vehicles in both directions.Oct-28-2011Anabta checkpoint 24.10.11

Jubara (Kafriat)
See all reports for this place-
The Jabra checkpoint was on Road 557, south of Tulkarm, on the side of the Figs Pass, which is located within the Palestinian Authority (a few kilometers east of the Green Line), and serves as an entry barrier from the territories to Israel. The checkpoint to the village of Jubara, which until 2013 was in the seam area, blocked and surrounded by a fence, was intended for the passage of the family members of the house next to the checkpoint, and also for the MachsomWatch volunteers (with special permission only), on their way to checkpoint 753. on the other side of the village. The soldiers supervising the "fig crossing" also supervised the crossing at this checkpoint, in our shifts we often waited a long time until the key was found and the gate opened. The checkpoint was abolished and became part of the separation fence that was moved west following the High Court.

Qalqiliya checkpoint
See all reports for this place-
Qalqilya is surrounded on all sides by the separation barrier. The only exit from the city is in the east of the city on the road that leaves the city in an easterly direction. This is where the checkpoint was located. When the checkpoint was active until 2009 our shifts watched long queues of cars being inspected at the only exit from the city to the West Bank. The checkpoint was canceled, but there is a military presence at the entrance to the city.Karin LindnerOct-28-2011Etz Ephraim settlement. Nurit overlooks Siniriya
