13:10 Habla, Agricultural Gate #1393
The gate was opened a few minutes ago, about seven men are waiting for their turn on the benches which are still shaded. They pass without delays, and so does the tractor which draws a pile of dried plants. A few vehicles and a truck laden with wood pass from the direction of Habla. . A woman who speaks Hebrew, who is an agricultural labourer in Israel and who wishes to return to her home in Habla, arrives. In the morning she is obliged to pass through the Eyal Crossing, because the Habla gate is opened too late for her and for the other agricultural labourer who take advantage of the early morning hours to work in the fields.
13:35 Eliyahu Crossing – the traffic flows
Izbat at Tabib
There is no change in the length of the louped barbed fence which runs along part of the road which runs in the direction of Azoun. At Azoun it is quiet, there are hardly any people on the streets, the shops are shut. We continue on the road which passes beneath road no. 55, in the direction of Jiyus. We drive northwards in the direction of Tul Karem on the road that has been renovated, miss the entrance to Palamiya, pass the villages of Jamal, Kafr Tzur and A-Ras until we reach the southern Jubara CP. There apparently is no military presence, but the driver of the Palestinian vehicle which arrives knows that he has to stop, leave his vehicle, go to the small building, toss his papers into a small compartment, enter and be checked, before he returns to his car and enters the village.
We go back up to the square at Kafr Tsur, and continue eastwards in the direction of Punduk (there are signposts, we admire many of those all along the road) and at the fork we take the road which branches out in the direction of north east ( and which doesn't yet appear in any of the new road maps I've seen) and leads to Beit Lid and from there northwards to Anabta.
Anabta – Nothing has changed at the CP, the vehicles pass (we were astonished not to see any vehicle with Israeli number plates) and the soldiers (provided they are there) are indiscernible.
14:45 Shufa
The reason for the absence of Israeli vehicles returning from Tul Karem is made clear at Shufa. The permanent obstruction on the road leading from upper Shufa to lower Shufa has been removed in part, some of the big blocks and giant stones have been moved and it is possible to pass by vehicle. We continue a few hundred meters to visit S. and his wife. We have a long conversation with him about the "situation". He explaines that during the holiday (Ramaddan) the blockade has usually been removed for 3 to 4 days, but this time it has been open during the entire month. They got the information from the Red Cross. A great number of Israeli vehicles which come from the direction of Tul Karem pass on the road.
During former visits at the village everybody stressed that this blockade made their life more difficult than anything else. They intend approaching the authorities with the request that it be removed entirely.
Kafriat/Te'enim crossing
There are few vehicles. Our trunk is checked (we are still with the flags). The checking of cars belonging to Israeli Arabs is more thorough, packages are removed from the cars for inspection.
16:00 Irtah
There aren't many workmen, everybody hurries through the big gate which is wide open.

The checkpoint is located south of the village of 'Anabta, at the intersection of Road 60 (leading to Nablus at the entrance to Area A), with Road (57, 557, 5576) facing west towards the Einav settlement and the checkpoint at the exit from the West Bank - Figs checkpoint. Until 2010 we used to watch the intersection and report the long columns created due to a slow inspection of the vehicles in both directions.Oct-28-2011Anabta checkpoint 24.10.11

Eliyahu CP (109) / Crossing This checkpoint, also known as the Fruit Crossing, is one of the main checkpoints between Israel and the West Bank. It is located on Route 55 between Alfei Menashe and the turn to Qalqilya and Zufin, more than 4 km east of the Green Line, in the separation fence, which separates Qalqilya from its lands to the south, thus leaving Alfei Menashe West of the fence - the Seam Zone. This checkpoint, a few kilometers across the Green Line, is intended for "Israeli settlement in the West Bank and the population of the Seam Zone." It is managed by a civil company. Palestinians with a special permit for their lands in the seam area are also allowed to pass through it, on foot, and sometimes by car.

Habla CP (1393)
The Habla checkpoint (1393) was established on the lands of the residents of Qalqilya, on the short road that
connected it for centuries to the nearby town of Habla. The separation barrier intersects this road twice and cut off the residents of Qalqilya from their lands in the seam zone.(between the fence and the green line).
There is a passage under Road 55 that connects Qalqilya to the sabotage This agricultural barrier is used by the farmers and nursery owners established along Road 55 from the Green Line and on both sides of the kurkar road leading to the checkpoint.
This agricultural checkpoint serves the residents of Arab a-Ramadin al-Janoubi (detached from the West Bank), who pass through it to the West Bank and back to their homes. The opening hours (3 times a day) of this agricultural checkpoint are longer than usual, about an hour (recently shortened to 45 minutes), and are coordinated with the transportation hours of a-Ramadin children studying in the occupied in the West Bank.Ronit Dahan-RamatiApr-25-2025Habla Checkpoint: system of gates

Irtah (Sha'ar Efrayim)

The checkpoint is for Palestinians only. It is the main barrier to the passage of workers from the northern West Bank to Israel. Workers with a permit to work in Israel and also for trade (with appropriate permissions), medicine, and visiting prisoners. One can cross the checkpoint only on foot. The checkpoint is located north of Road 557 and south of Tulkarm. Operated by a civil security company, opening hours: between 4:00 and 19:00 on weekdays. As members of Machsom Watch, we began our shifts to this location in 2007. We arrived before it opened at 4 in the morning and report since, on the harsh conditions and the long and crowded queues of workers. The workers who pass by continue their journey by transportation to work throughout Israel. In the first period of its activity, about 3,000 and then 5,000 people passed through this checkpoint every day. Due to the small number of checking points and arbitrary delays for long periods of time in the "rooms", workers feared losing their transportation. Hence workers leave their homes at 2:30 at night to be among the first. Today, 15,000 pass and the transition is faster. Workers are still leaving their homes very early to get past the checkpoint at 7 p.m. In an adjacent compound, there is a terminal for the transfer of goods on a commercial scale, using the back-to-back method.
