Jubara 14:00
A Police car was stationed at the entrance to the Israeli/Palestine checkpoint.
Reserve duty soldiers were manning the children's gate and the A Ras checkpoint.

The commanding officer at A Ras told us there was an easing of the checking because of the holidays. However, vehicles coming from the direction of Qalqilyia as well as those coming from Tul Karm were checked. During the short time we were there 3 vehicles were asked to wait on the side while their IDs went through an additional checking. This additional checking took from one to ten minutes.

The soldier checking vehicles coming from the Qalqilyia direction was checking not only IDs but the vehicles as well. On the road leading from the Qalqilyia direction to the checkpoint the passage was narrowed by a line of stones placed on both sides of the road about 20 meters from the checking booth. This meant that traffic from the other direction had to go off the road to pass through. The road in that area of the check point is still in very bad condition causing all the vehicles passing through to the checking booth to go through deep pit holes.

We were definitely unwanted company. We overheard soldiers saying "They just get in the way. They are women with nothing else to do."

Anabta 14:39
There were no line up of vehicles in either direction.

    • 'Anabta CP The checkpoint is located south of the village of 'Anabta, at the intersection of Road 60 (leading to Nablus at the entrance to Area A), with Road (57, 557, 5576) facing west towards the Einav settlement and the checkpoint at the exit from the West Bank - Figs checkpoint. Until 2010 we used to watch the intersection and report the long columns created due to a slow inspection of the vehicles in both directions.

    •   The Jabra checkpoint was on Road 557, south of Tulkarm, on the side of the Figs Pass, which is located within the Palestinian Authority (a few kilometers east of the Green Line), and serves as an entry barrier from the territories to Israel. The checkpoint to the village of Jubara, which until 2013 was in the seam area, blocked and surrounded by a fence, was intended for the passage of the family members of the house next to the checkpoint, and also for the MachsomWatch volunteers (with special permission only), on their way to checkpoint 753. on the other side of the village. The soldiers supervising the "fig crossing" also supervised the crossing at this checkpoint, in our shifts we often waited a long time until the key was found and the gate opened. The checkpoint was abolished and became part of the separation fence that was moved west following the High Court.
