‘Anabta, Mon 20.10.08, Afternoon
Place:
'Anabta CP
Observers: Bilha A., Elisheva A.
Natanya translating.
14:10 No cars in either direction. The soldiers are polite and wish us a happy holiday. They have no reason to be tense. At the entrance to the crossroads there is a new sign. A very nice sculpture which Bilha photographed, which shows the way to the olive press at the village of Beit Lid, and on it is written in blue "The Arabs are whores." There is no way of knowing who wrote this but maybe each time it is written we can erase the shame.
The drivers standing next to it took no notice. Maybe they are used to it.

The checkpoint is located south of the village of 'Anabta, at the intersection of Road 60 (leading to Nablus at the entrance to Area A), with Road (57, 557, 5576) facing west towards the Einav settlement and the checkpoint at the exit from the West Bank - Figs checkpoint. Until 2010 we used to watch the intersection and report the long columns created due to a slow inspection of the vehicles in both directions.
