The north has been cut off from the centre of the West Bank. We guess that this has been done so as to prevent getting to Jerusalem, to demonstrations against the work at El Aksa. If so this segregation will probably continue until Friday.The exit from Nablus is open to all but men betweenthe ages of 16-30 will have to return as they will not be able to go forward on any other roads.8.30- Beit Iba: Those leaving Nablus have their ids carefully checked. The commander says that most of the drivers of the big bus company in the area, Taniv, have permits to get into Nablus through Beit Iba.Young men from Nablus leaving Beit Iba will find on the northern side that they are blocked at the crossroads of Jit because from the northern sides there is no passage to Shave Shomron and from the est no passage to the crossroads of Beit Lid ( according to the report about the area of Tulkarm). They have no way to reach their destiniation.9.30 -Jit/b>: Two checkpoints of road 60 in both directions. 15-30 years of age of both sexes are stopped here. Residents of Jenin, Tulkarm, Nablus who are going south or east. The eastern checkpoint stope the same population going north or west.

A perimeter checkpoint west of the city of Nablus. Operated from 2001 to 2009 as one of the four permanent checkpoints closing on Nablus: Beit Furik and Awarta to the east and Hawara to the south. A pedestrian-only checkpoint, where MachsomWatch volunteers were present daily for several hours in the morning and afternoon to document the thousands of Palestinians waiting for hours in long queues with no shelter in the heat or rain, to leave the district city for anywhere else in the West Bank. From March 2009, as part of the easing of the Palestinian movement in the West Bank, it was abolished, without a trace, and without any adverse change in the security situation.
