BEthlehem CP 300, el Khadr, Beit OMar, ETzion DCO
Bethlehem and surroundings, 11.4.05, After Noon.Observers: Shlomit S. Yael S. (reporting)Another shift went by peacefully. Bethlehem CP 300, 13:30 – checking is done lazily, waiting time up to half an hour. A group of Italian Christians know Tzili and are interested in what we are doing. We give a short explanation about Machsomwatch untill their Minibus came. We got a lot of encouragement. We call Sfadi, who is not in Jerusalem any more, but he said that he will try to influence the soldiers at the CP to move the queue along.Etzion DCO – very few people. Again some GSS denied people and merchants that could not get permits to enter Israel. Health permits were given but the soldier did not notice that one of the requests was from 12/4 till 15/4 and he gave it till 14/4 – he refused to correct it and the Palestinian rushed back to his job in Bethlechem.A complaint about payment to an farmer who always got permission but not produce the merchandise. The person placing the complaint disappeared before we could find out what to do.WE reiceved a complaint about the wondows of a taxi being smashed but could not find it when we passed the place it was supposed to be in (El ARub).Beit Omar – Quiet. We were invited for a lunch by the people at the grocery store and we were reminded how tasty Palestinian food is. We had an interesting conversation and we got a fresh Sage to take home.
