BEthlehem and surroundinds, Fri, Dec. 17,04 AM Observers: Varda R, Avital B.Bethlehem Checkpoint 300: Almost completely empty. A few pedestrians who circumvented the checkpoint were caught by a jeep that was standing on the road and they were told to present their i.d.’s Beit Jalla. About 5 cars in each direction were waiting at the checkpoint and being checked. According to the drivers, there were no special incidents.The Etzion DCO. Closed as expected. El Khader: No soldiers but also, not a lot of people. The drivers told us that the major problems are those at the Container. The soldiers work only when the officer’s jeep arrives.There are comments about women travelling in the taxis.The checkpoint closes at 22:00 and when drivers arrive shortly afterwards, they are not allowed to pass and are stuck there.
