Etzion DCO: Settlers did not allow Palestinians to harvest olives

Place: Etzion DCO
Observers: Shlomit Steinitz and Netanya Ginzburg (reporter)
Dec-30-2024
| Morning

It was bitterly cold and pouring with rain. Last week the heat in the  waiting room had been over heated. Now it was freezing. There were several people for magnetics and who had been called in. As we arrived we saw a soldier being delivered his lunch and the people waiting told us they had been told they would have to wait at least an hour. So glad that the soldiers have been taught to  chew their lunch well before swallowing.

A man from a village near Beitar Illit said that they have not had permission to go to their olive groves in the last two years. We asked if he knew whether the settlers had picked them but he said he had no way of knowing. We know of at least two such cases all in that area.
