Falamiya North Checkpoint (914), Falamiya South Checkpoint (935)
Falamiya north
The gate opened at 06:15. More people than usual arrived, many on bicycles. Most are coming for the olive harvest, but some told us they’re waiting for the rains, and only then will begin picking. Four laborers were sent back; they were told their permits were for a different gate. One family member didn’t receive a permit because they were told the plot was too small. One man on line, we were told by his friends, is originally from Kafr Jimayl but now lives in Ramallah, with a thriving car rental business, but still comes to help with the harvest. There were 14 tractors and a truck.
Falamiya south
The gate opened at 07:10. There were five tractors. The soldiers allowed the people to enter riding the tractors and inspected them that way.
