(reporting)Shiekh Saed – was totally quiet with no one going in either direction.Zeitim CP – was equally still. As of 15:00, there was not one person waiting to cross into the Jerusalem side from Al Ezariya. As we left, a few people approached from each direction, but there were not even any vehicles waiting there to pick people up.The Container – When we arrived, there was no line in either direction. Two new booths were set up since we were here last (two weeks ago). They are both located near the curve in the road, and the checking station at which vehicles coming from the south were previously checked was not operative. A couple of vehicles were stopped for having approached the checkpoint from the one-way road, but after a brief scolding, nothing happened. A few vehicles were stopped briefly, but the 5 border police there just carried out the most random of checks and at no time were there lines in either direction. It was very uneventful but quite sad because the lack of people and vehicles indicate the extent to which normal life has been brought to a stand still.
