The demonstration against the destruction of the school house in the village of Izbat Tabib.

The cars of Karin and Dalia were met by soldiers who handed them a command that the area was closed. But their fate was very different.  Dalia's car went to Izbet Tabib from the direction of Tira-Ztufin (because we went to pick Fatchia up). Therefore they stopped next to the Eyal checkpoint.  After some dealings we were let through and we were not stopped until we came to Izbet Tabib.

But Karin's car was stopped three times ( we will not give details) and she had to go a very roundabout toute. Back to road 444 and from there to road 5 and from there to Haris and though the settlements of Revava and Immanuel.

She came to Azzun and to Izbet Tabib  and deserves a medal for that. Another car also had to take a roundabout route and only got there when everything was over.

It is hard to believe how much manpower the army puts in so as to prevent a small and miserable

demonstration in a tiny village. The entire areawas surrounded on all sides by army vehicles

with a ban on entering a closed army area.It certainly gave enough work to the entire IDF.

At the demonstration itself were fiery

speeches by the mayor  and of two

Arab members of parliament, Agbariah and Zoabi,

Yaakov Manor, and others.

We brought Noam with us…..a community tv photographer who documented and interviewed some interesting people. He promised to send me the material on a disc.

The protest tent will continue to stand until the end of the month.  They are trying to raise a cry. We hope that most of these measures will be removed
