(reporting)Bethlehem Checkpoint6:10 We decided this week to arrive earlier than we usually do on Fridays, because we realized that many workers go through the checkpoint on Fridays as well. There were many people at the checkpoint when we arrived. Three counters were open (only one including palm check). Before 6:30 the third couter was closed, and at this point long lines were gradually formed, and dozens of people waited at each of them. Ten minutes after we called the humanitarian center a third counter was reopened, and when this did not ease up the load a fourth counter was reopened as well. Towards 7:00 the heavy traffic was gone. WE often hear screaming from the entrance hall.Outside dozens of people waited for taxis to take them to Jerusalem.
