Abu-Dis, Container, Wednesday 01.02.06 AM Rina R., Drora P. Yoshka, driver, Rahel M, reporting 6:45 Abu-Dis At the pishpash there is much activity. Many cars, some transits, a school bus pass in both directions. A constant flow of people jumping down to go into Jerusalem. Two BP, a man and a woman, are checking everyone. Without a blue ID or a green ID with a permit, no one enters. The male soldier is very gruff and will listen to no plea and raises his voice. To the side stand 6 detainees. A BP is busy writing out the forms for each to sign that they will never do it again and if so, will go to jail. One by one they go back as the form is filled out. I speak to one about it, and he tells me that he doesn’t understand what he signed. However, the BP tells me that he speaks to each in Arabic. 7:40 Container There are two buses parked to the side as their ID’s are checked. One leaves after 20 minutes, the other after waiting 45 minutes. The University students were worried about making their classes. Very little traffic in both directions. 8:50 passing the pishpash on the way homeThe BP are still present. Half way down the hill a man is jumping over the fence.
